This week, it's the Three of Wands, and I've selected the Lumina Tarot deck.
This version of the Three is wonderfully fresh and bright, losing it's usual 'youth surveying the horizon' RWS approach, and instead serving us Wands converging from two different directions towards the centre, and then moving away together as a single path in the form of the third Wand as it stretches out toward the top of the card.
At the point where all three Wands converge, we see a version of the all-seeing eye, surrounded by a diamond, which in turn is surrounded by rainbow coloured rays of brilliance.
The eye at the centre of that point of convergence shows us that vision, perception and foresight will allow us to bring our disparate paths together into one concrete vision for the future, clearing our path and bringing our goals into perspective.
The diamond shape surrounding the eye adds to that by emphasising the clarity that will be provided by turning thoughts and decision making into palpable action to carry us towards our goals, and that rainbow coloured circle of light and colour radiating outwards gives a real feeling of positive connection within that moment of commitment - that the decision making and option-weighing of the Two is given form and focus in the Three before being carried forwards to the structure and strengthening of the Four.
It's an excellent rendition of the card, and brings a real positive light to the process - less about just gazing wistfully at the horizon, and more about solidifying theories and choices into real decision making that will help to carry us forwards toward a clear goal, one that we feel is right for us, and in line with our motivations, desires and passions.
What do you see in the image? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, and we can share the similarities and differences between the images in the various decks!
